I am so excited to have a project of sorts. First, I want to clean it (obviously). Then, it needs new vent visors since the passenger one is broken. The tailgate latch needs to be reattached as one of the rods has come loose. Also, the dash has a few cracks from old age and sunlight, so I want a dash mat to hide them and keep them from getting worse. It already has a good bedliner. I think it might need an oil pressure sending unit? The gauge swings around all over the place. I know the prEssure is good and the oil level is good as well. The gauge is just sporadic, which is a typical old GM problem. It's going to be interesting being a GM owner again. It's been six long years since I last had one of their products.
those are old pics from when the seller first got it. He drove it all this winter including the two one foot snowfall events with no issue.

Great color and engine. My rat is build on the same chassis.

Oil pressure changes with engine speed, so if it's moving around, that's good. It means that they didn't put a dummy gauge in there. I think that that's what you're describing anyway...

Or it could just be doing the typical GM gauge, which is worse than a dummy one. They just kind of do whatever they very well please to do.

The Safari does that thing with the oil pressure gauge moving around all willy-nilly. I figure it's good and ignore it...

That's what I'm thinking. My Beretta's fuel gauge did that.

It's half torn apart in my garage. I'd love to get it on the road this year. I expected to have more done on it but I fell out of a tree and broke my back.
